CJ Nutracon Meat and Bone Marrow Processing Plant
Toowoomba, Queensland

Project Details

CJ Nutracon, a subsidiary of Korean food manufacturing giant CJ Cheil-jedang, specializes in producing enzyme hydrolyzed beef extract, beef leg bone extract, and other meat extract products. They source from the Australian food, meat, and livestock industries, ensuring top-quality production. The facility also includes an on-site laboratory for product testing and development.

The Toowoomba plant marks a significant development, following the closure of CJ Nutracon’s Oklahoma facility in the USA due to concerns over mad cow disease. Relocating to Toowoomba was essential to ensure the continued safe and efficient production of their specialized products.

As an experienced electrical industrial contractor, CE Group played a crucial role in the project’s success. CE Group was responsible for the complete high-voltage (HV) installation and the design and implementation of the main switchboard. In addition, they handled the general lighting and power systems throughout the facility, ensuring everything met stringent industry requirements.

Furthermore, CE Group was tasked with integrating American equipment into the plant and adapting it to comply with Australian standards. This was a critical aspect of the project, as it required specialized knowledge and attention to detail. Despite the complexity, the integration process was completed smoothly and efficiently.

The successful delivery of this project highlights CE Group’s capability as a trusted electrical industrial contractor. Their commitment to safety, quality, and meeting project milestones further solidified their reputation as a leading contractor in industrial electrical services.
