CE Group is proud to be part of the ongoing works at Icon Water’s Lower Molonglo Water Quality Control Centre. With a solid track record of successful projects at this site, CE Group has once again demonstrated its capabilities as a trusted electrical water infrastructure contractor. This time, the team was engaged to carry out the electrical works associated with Icon Water’s Secondary Clarifiers for its client, Downer.

The scope of this project was extensive and included the provision of switchboards, along with civil works such as large pulling pits, switchboard platforms, and culverts. Additionally, CE Group was responsible for the installation of cable support systems, cabling, and instrumentation, followed by the crucial commissioning stage. Throughout this project, CE Group remained focused on ensuring smooth operations and effective project execution.

Moreover, the project involved automating flow control into each clarifier and installing turbidity monitoring systems for each clarifier’s effluent. These enhancements are expected to significantly improve water quality and operational efficiency. CE Group’s team successfully completed all cutover works without causing any disturbances to the operations at the Lower Molonglo Water Quality Control Centre, maintaining their reputation for precision and reliability.

This important project will allow for better isolation of individual clarifiers and improved flow distribution. As a result, the clarifiers will enhance the water quality delivered to the tertiary filters, contributing to the long-term sustainability of the facility.
