Carrara Sports Precinct

CE Group’s Mechanical Electrical team were engaged to provide the complete mech/elec portion of the works for this high profile project. Working in conjunction with Coolmaster and Hansen Yuncken, CE Group was able to successfully design, install and commission the project within tight timeframes and budget restraints.

Robina Town Centre – Stage 2

CE Group Mechanical Electrical team were engaged to deliver the mech/elec portion of the works for this project.

The two-level “multi-sensory’ culinary playground to be known as “The Kitchens” was successfully delivered by CE Group on time and on budget for the client.

QR Mayne Facilities Upgrade

CE Group’s General Construction Division was tasked with the electrical design, installation and commissioning for the upgrade of the existing QR Mayne facility at Bowen Hills, Brisbane.

The works included installation of new 1500kVA Transformer, 4 new distribution boards, upgrades to the lighting, power, fire and emergency lighting throughout 2 buildings and a new service platform for the safe access and egress of the rolling stock. The complex program of works required CE Group to demonstrate flexibility whilst completing each section and work closely with QR Staff.

Hayman Island – STP

The existing Hayman Island Sewerage treatment plant is located on the south-western side of the island off the coast of Central Queensland and required to be upgraded to meet the high standards of the resort and the growing tourist activity on the island. CE Group were contracted to design, implement and install a new electrically automated sewerage treatment control system.

CE Group’s engineering team were set some challenging design parameters which focused on the reduction of power consumption and environmental durability with no loss to the operation of the resort throughout the construction phase.

Maleny STP

CE Group was contracted to perform the design and construct scope of works for the electrical and process control services for the new Maleny Sewerage Treatment Plant. The project was an important piece of community infrastructure for Unity Water and the development centered on four main objectives to deliver a safe, reliable, robust and value for money installation for the people of the township of Maleny.

CE Group was responsible for the design, documentation, and certification of the facility which consisted of several new buildings, flow balancing, biological secondary treatment, tertiary filtration, effluent disinfection, chemical dosing and odour management.

Seqwater Chemical Dosing Systems Upgrade, Mt Crosby

The Chemical Dosing Systems Upgrade project upgrades both of Seqwater’s West and East Bank Water Treatment Plant’t chemical dosing systems. A total of 10 chemical dosing skids comprising of approx. 40 dosing pumps are controlled from a new redundant Honeywell C200 HPC (Hybrid Process Controller) at each plant. Chemical makeup and batching systems are also part of the scope of works with the control of all equipment fed out of custom built Control Panels designed, documented, manufactured and installed by CE Group.

Karumba Waste Water Plant

CE Group was engaged to provide the base building electrical, along with the process control and data acquisition systems. The base building works include mains installation, switchboards, generator systems and UPS supply, general light and power and lighting protection systems. CE Group designed and manufactured the switchboards within our Loganholme Head Office factory.

The Process Control System was a design and construct contract based on a functional description provided by the client. The plant automation and programming was undertaken by CE Group to industry best practice, including supply and programming of the site SCADA system.

Surat Basin WTP & STPs

The Mine Camps’ Sewerage and Water Treatments Plants are part of the expansions in the Surat Basin to support the Gas Industry. The sites included Condabri, Reedy Creek, Woleebee, Jordan and Ruby Jo Camps that accommodate and support the workers on the gas fields.

The works provided by CE Group included Control Panel / Motor Control Centre design, documentation, manufacture and site installation on each site. Our Engineering Department delivered the PLC, Operator Interface and SCADA System programming, including testing and commissioning on each site.

Kooralbyn WTP

CE Group was awarded this project and undertook it as the principal contractor for the Design and Construction works. At the core of the project was the requirement to upgrade the plant’s control systems from several stand-alone elements, of which some were manually operated, into a distributed automated PLC / SCADA solution.

Partnerships with suitably experienced companies enabled us to perform the process and hydraulic design consultancy, as well as the mechanical design, manufacture and the commissioning of such. As part of this work brief, CE Group successfully completed the removal of the old Aeration Tower, removal and replacement of the existing asbestos water main (including dosing injection points), addition of Caustic, Alum and Chlorine Gas chemical dosing systems, automatic DN150 Filters Backwash Valving and sequencing, all alongside the control system upgrade.

Lower Molonglo Blower Install

The Lower Molonglo Water Quality Control Centre has become a familiar home for CE Group’s ACT Operations team in recent years, and it’s strong relationship with Downer Utilities continues with the successful award of the Electrical Works contract for the LMWQCC Furnace and Exhaust Upgrade Project.

The project involves the upgrade of the Centre’s furnace and exhaust systems to ensure the facility meets regulatory submission requirements and minimises any impact on the surrounding environments. CE Group has been tasked with the supply and installation of VSDs and IO controllers, Instrumentation and all cabling and associated support systems.
