Case Studies
Hail Creek Industrial Area Upgrade – Warehouse
The Hail Creek IAU – Warehouse project saw CE Group continue its support of the Mining Industry. The project involved the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of electrical works for the 2.750m2 warehouse at Hail Creek Mine .
Hail Creek Industrial Area Upgrade – HV Tyre Bay
The Hail Creek IAU – Heavy Vehicle Tyre Bay project was granted to CE Group based on the exceptional works previously completed on the same site.
This project included the supply and installation of high bay lighting to suit task requirements, office area lighting and the facility’s general power requirements. CE Group also designed, manufactured and installed the various switchboards for the Tyre Facility. Our scope of work included the civil works for the extensive power supply submain run to the Tyre Bay Facility.
Hail Creek High Voltage Reticulation Upgrade
The Hail Creek High Voltage Reticulation Upgrade project was granted to CE Group based on the high quality work previously completed on the same site, and underpins the diversity of work CE Group can deliver.
This project included the supply and installation of 22,000 V cable and reticulation to replace existing above-ground infrastructure and reinstate it underground via a conduit and pit system. The new reticulation included the installation of two (2) new 2,000kVA Kiosk Transformer / RMU Units which included the civil works for the concrete slabs, trenching and pit excavation.
Wilton Gas Metering Station
CE Group was engaged by Jemena to provide the electrical installation for a new natural gas metering station located in Wilton, NSW.
The new metering facility was the final stage in the Eastern Gas Pipeline project for Jemena and supplied natural gas to approximately 1/3rd of Sydney’s gas customers. This involved constructing the new metering facility to provide gas to two existing metering facilities in the area.
APLNG Curtis Island Permanent Buildings
CE Group were Contracted by Leighton Contractors to perform the Electrical Services on the 10 Permanent Buildings at APLNG. This was our first Project with Leighton Contractors and included the Main Control Admin Facility, Marine Terminal Building, Fire Station Medical Facility, Compressor Control 1, Compressor Control 2, Maintenance/Lab Workshop, Warehouse, Dangerous Goods Store, Waste Storage and Marine Guard House.
SAG Ball Feeder Mill, Lihir
Located in the New Ireland Province of Lihir in Papua New Guinea, CE Group executed Electrical and Instrumentation works on the Semi Autogenous Grinding Mill’s Ball Feeder project.
This project automated the addition of grinding media to the HGO1, HGO2 & FGO SAG mills to enable a consistent ball charge to be maintained within each mill, maximising grinding circuit throughput and ultimately increasing efficiency of the operation. In conjunction with risk reduction in manual handling labour, the project introduced innovations and technology not seen in the region, and continued rollout of initiatives from other Newcrest mine sites.
